About Venn

Venn is a hiring website platform built for companies that take candidate experience seriously.

We design and build recruitment and careers websites that help organisations attract, engage and connect with the right people. Our work brings together technology, design, recruitment, employer brand, content and optimisation to create better experiences for candidates and clients.

Behind that is a team of designers, developers, strategists, marketers and project managers who work closely together to take projects from an idea through to launch and beyond.

We care about doing things properly. We hold high standards, take ownership of our work and support each other along the way. We're also big believers in learning by doing, so this is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants exposure to digital projects, websites, marketing and project management.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Project Coordinator to join the Venn team and support the day-to-day delivery of our recruitment and careers websites.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work closely with our Project Management, Strategy, Marketing, Design and Development teams to help keep client work moving.

A big part of your role will be supporting new website projects as they move towards launch. You'll help make sure content is populated correctly, information and documentation are organised, tasks are tracked and the different teams involved have what they need to deliver.

You'll also support our existing retainer clients, helping to implement agreed strategies by adding and updating content across their websites.

You don't need to come in knowing everything about websites or project management. We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, comfortable working across different tasks and keen to learn.

Who Would This Role Suit?

This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to gain practical experience and build a career in project management, digital or technology.

You might be finishing college or university, looking for your first full-time office-based role, or already have some experience in administration, coordination, customer service or another organised environment and be ready for your next step.

You don't need previous project management or website experience. What matters more to us is your attitude. We're looking for someone who enjoys being organised, is comfortable using technology, communicates well and takes pride in getting the details right.

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys a mix of organisation, communication and digital work, and likes the satisfaction of seeing a project come together from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers with new recruitment and careers website projects from build through to launch
  • Populating and formatting website content using the Venn platform
  • Supporting the implementation of strategies for existing retainer clients by keeping their website content accurate, current and engaging
  • Uploading blogs, landing pages, team profiles, resources and other website content
  • Helping prepare new websites for launch by checking content, links, imagery and page information
  • Organising and maintaining project documentation, content and client information
  • Tracking daily tasks and project actions to make sure deadlines are being met
  • Keeping project information and internal systems up to date
  • Communicating between departments to keep work moving and help us meet client expectations
  • Making sure the right information reaches the right people at the right time
  • Flagging missing content, outstanding actions or potential delays to the relevant Project Manager
  • Supporting quality assurance and final checks ahead of website launches
  • Helping the Project Management team with general coordination and administration
  • Building your knowledge of recruitment websites, careers websites, digital marketing and the Venn platform
  • Testing websites and population outputs before client review.

What We're Looking For

We're much more interested in your attitude and potential than having years of experience.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is organised and enjoys keeping things on track
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is comfortable managing different tasks and priorities
  • Communicates clearly and confidently
  • Is proactive and happy to ask questions
  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through
  • Is comfortable working with written content and digital systems
  • Has good written English and an eye for consistency
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with different people and departments
  • Is comfortable using everyday tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Has an interest in websites, digital marketing, technology or project management
  • Is enthusiastic about learning and developing their skills

Previous experience with websites, content management systems, project management software or digital marketing would be useful, but it isn't essential. We'll teach you how our platform and processes work.

Learning and Development at Venn

We're committed to ongoing learning and development and helping our people build careers, not simply learn how to do one job.

From day one, you'll receive hands-on training and support from the Venn team, while gaining practical experience across project management, websites, digital marketing, content and client delivery.

As part of your development, you'll also have the opportunity to work towards a relevant project-related apprenticeship or professional qualification, combining structured learning with the experience you're gaining in your role.

As your confidence and experience grow, we'll encourage you to take on more responsibility, get involved in different areas of the business and explore where your strengths and interests could take you.

Over time, this role could provide a pathway into areas such as Project Management, Digital Project Management, Client Services, Account Management or Strategy.

What You'll Learn

You'll gain hands-on experience of the full website project lifecycle and learn how strategy, content, design, development and project management come together to create and launch a website.

You'll develop experience in:

  • Digital project coordination
  • Website content management
  • Recruitment and careers websites
  • Client strategy implementation
  • Website launches and quality assurance
  • Working with design and development teams
  • Managing priorities and project deadlines
  • Client delivery and account support
  • Digital marketing, content and SEO

As your experience grows, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of projects and develop your career within Venn.

Why Venn?

We're building technology that helps organisations create better hiring experiences, but we're also building a team where people can learn, develop and get involved in meaningful work.

People at Venn often work across more than one area, giving you the opportunity to learn from colleagues across project management, strategy, marketing, design and development.

For someone at the beginning of their career, this is an opportunity to learn by doing, develop practical skills and understand how digital projects work from the inside.

Alongside a salary of £21,500 to £25,000 per annum, you'll have access to ongoing learning and development, the opportunity to undertake a relevant apprenticeship or professional qualification, and the chance to grow your responsibilities as your skills and experience develop.

If you're organised, curious and keen to start building a career in project management, digital or technology, we'd love to hear from you.
