Where ideas get built

Our Project team designs and builds the recruitment platforms our clients rely on. From UX and visual design to front-end and back-end development, this is where concepts turn into live systems. If you like seeing your work out in the world and used every day, this is where you’ll thrive.

What We Do

The Project team at Venn turns strategy into live platforms.

We design and build careers sites, employer brand experiences, job boards and scalable digital products that support attraction and hiring.

Across design and development, we:

  • Map user journeys that support attraction, engagement and application
  • Create employer brand experiences that feel considered and distinctive
  • Build responsive front-end interfaces that are fast and intuitive
  • Develop secure, scalable back-end functionality
Integrate job feeds, CRMs and third-party systems
  • Test, refine and launch platforms built to perform under real traffic

This team works where creativity meets structure. Designs need to look good. Code needs to hold up. And everything needs to work properly once it’s live.

Meet the Team

Meet Hannah Newall

"My day-to-day is a balance of planning, collaboration, and hands-on design. I start by reviewing priorities, checking schedules, and ensuring projects are clearly organised and aligned with the wider team.

I regularly check in with team members to provide support and maintain alignment, while working across a mix of design tasks including theme creation, UX/UI improvements, and research.

My role also involves leading and contributing to internal and client meetings, helping to shape direction and gather feedback. Alongside this, I continue to design and evolve new product themes, ensuring all work is user-focused, consistent, and aligned with both business and technical goals."

Meet Joe Brennan

"My work can vary day to day depending on what project I am working on. If I'm working on a client project, I will focus on what we call 'the build': this is writing the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring the designers design to life, resulting in a new site where a lot of our customers business will run through online. If I'm working on an internal project, I might be refining our current processes or developing a completely new tech feature for the platform."

Meet Zachary Distant

"My role at Venn is as a front-end developer, where I build responsive, high-quality websites based on our design work. Alongside development, I maintain and improve existing codebases, update templates, and create new, reusable modules to support future projects.

A typical day for me starts with getting into the office, catching up with the team, and getting set up for the day. I review my tasks and prioritise them based on deadlines and project needs, especially if I haven’t already planned things out in advance. My day usually involves a mix of focused development work and collaboration, with meetings varying depending on the stage of each project—some days are meeting-heavy, while others allow for deeper, uninterrupted coding time."

How We Work With The Rest of Venn

Project sits at the centre of delivery.

We work closely with:

To ensure SEO structure, technical foundations and conversion are considered before anything is built.

To build on our core product, improve functionality and make sure everything integrates properly.

To keep scope clear, timelines realistic and expectations aligned.

To maintain quality, pace and long-term product direction.

Before something goes live, it’s usually passed across more than one desk. That’s intentional.
